Craps
Craps is a game of dice that has a huge selection of bets available to play, about 40 in all.
In land based casinos it is a game that always has a crowd of people around the table. A very loud and fast moving game , which generally puts people off , however now craps is becoming popular on line you can learn the game in your own home and at your own pace.
At the first instance the craps table can seem very complicated, it has identical areas at each end and an area in the middle which is used for different types of bets, every bet has its own place on the table. However to get started we are only concerned with the 'Passline' and 'Dont pass' line as these are the basic bets in craps and will get you on your way to being a craps player.
The game starts with someone becoming the 'shooter'(dice thrower). The dice is always passed clockwise around the table and people can exit and join the game whenever they want ( room at the table permitting) .
Passline Bet
This must be placed before the new shooter begins his roll, known as the come out roll. Place your bet on the area marked Passline.
- If the shooter rolls 7 or 11 on their first roll you win and the session ends.
- If the shooter rolls 2, 3 or 12 on their first roll you lose and the session ends.
- If they roll any other number then that number becomes known as the 'Point'and a mark is put on that number on the table.
The shooter then continues to roll.
- If they roll the 'Point' again before the 7 you win.
- If they roll a 7 before the the 'Point' you lose.This is known as '7 out'.
Note:Remember that if the shooter rolls a 7 on the 'come out' you win but if a 7 is rolled after 'point' you lose!!!
Dontpassline Bet
This is the total opposite of Passline bet, place your bet on the Dont Pass Line area of the table.One thing to rememeber with this bet is that if the shooter rolls a 12 on the come out roll its a tie and you neither win or lose.

That's the 2 basic bets in craps so although the game can seem quite complicated the basics are easy to learn and will certainly set you on your way. The best way to learn the other bets is while you play you will soon pick it up.
